North Miami Middle School Uniform Policy

Students are expected to give proper attention to personal cleanliness, grooming, and neatness.
Students should not wear clothing that would constitute a distraction from learning, or pose a safety hazard.
NORTH MIAMI MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS MUST FOLLOW THE MANDATORY UNIFORM POLICY

Pants:
Pants must be solid khaki or navy blue colored; must be worn in a modest form and fitted at the waistline and must be designed for use with a belt; must not be worn in a “sagging” manner nor oversized; must have a finished hem that extends to the ankle.  Nylon sweat pants, cotton sweat pants, stretch material pants, and jeans will not be allowed.

Shirts/Blouses:
Shirts and blouses must be a navy blue, light blue, or white (or combination navy blue/white) collared “polo” style or dress shirt; shirts must cover the entire back; if the shirt or blouse has buttons, then only the top two buttons may be undone.

Shoes:
Soled footwear with a strap shall be worn at all times.  NO thong type shoes (i.e., sandals, clogs, thongs, flip-flops, house slippers, etc.) and no open-toed shoes are allowed.

Inclement Weather Days:
Students are expected to wear their uniforms daily regardless of weather conditions. 
The following articles of clothing are not permitted: Hats, caps, bandanas, sweat bands, satin caps and any other headwear.
