CHANNEL 7  WSVN

North Miami Middle School is proud and honored to have Channel 7 WSVN as a community support stakeholder.  Channel 7 has designed an educational program geared to motivate our students to become enthusiastic and motivated readers and writers! This year there will be five debate classes participating! Channel 7 will help our students to tape and broadcast daily news and weather reports to be viewed on our school wide television.

This year's challenge will incorporate personal visits and teleconferencing with the television anchors, and students will also participate using discussion boards as they exchange ideas with each other and complete the assignments they are given. Our student journalists and broadcasters also visit Channel 7 WSVN to learn how the news process really works! These field trips offer students an exciting experience and when they visit the news room, they gain insight and exposure to  help to real world occupations as they relate to broadcast journalism.
